Update Troy and Vogue Journey e-cargo bike recall: testing phase completed
Over the past period, we have conducted extensive research into the possible cause of the reported frame breakages in the Troy and Vogue Journey e-cargo bike models, for which we issued a safety warning in September 2024. We are doing this in close collaboration with the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) and experts.
Both models were subjected to thorough testing under new, stricter standards, namely the European EN17860 standard. This was necessary to accurately determine the cause and find the best solution, so that consumers can safely return to the road.
Test phase completed
The test phase has now been completed. We are currently at an advanced stage of drawing up improvement plans for each model and version of e-bike. It is expected that in February the first improvement plans can be submitted to NVWA for approval. After approval by NVWA, the necessary improvements can actually be implemented and/or applied to the e-bikes registered with us.
The specific improvements required will vary depending on the model (Journey or Troy) and version (type of frame) of the e-cargo bike. Following NVWA approval, we call on consumers to have the improvements specific to their e-cargo bike implemented.
